| Description | ||||||||
|
The GJYXCH fiber optic cable is a self-supporting, bow-type flat drop cable designed primarily for Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks. It features a single or multi-core optical fiber unit positioned at the center, flanked by two parallel internal strength members, and physically bound to an integrated external steel messenger wire. This unique structural layout enables the cable to withstand the mechanical tension required for aerial outdoor runs before transitioning smoothly into indoor premises. |

Structure
Optical Fiber Unit: Located right in the center. It typically uses G.657.A1 or G.657.A2 single-mode fibers, which are optimized for ultra-low bending sensitivity. This allows the cable to bend around tight corners inside buildings without degrading signal quality. Common configurations range from 1, 2, to 4 cores.
Internal Strength Members: Two parallel metallic steel wires or Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP/KFRP) rods are placed alongside the center fibers. These protect the delicate glass cores from crushing forces and side pressure.
External Messenger Wire: A distinct, self-supporting 1.0mm to 1.2mm steel wire runs parallel to the main body within a figure-8 layout. This component bears the high tensile load during aerial suspension, saving costs by removing the need for external support lines.
Outer Sheath: The entire structure is wrapped in a black or white Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket. This makes the cable safe for indoor use, as it emits minimal smoke and no toxic halogen gases if exposed to high heat or fire.
